Rannajõe observation tower in Matsalu National Park is closed!

Rannajõe observation tower is closed for safety reasons!

The Estonian State Forest Management Centre informs that the Rannajõe observation tower in Lääne-Nigula municipality is closed to visitors!

The tower was built in 2003. A regular technical audit conducted in 2025 determined that despite the yearly maintenance and repair works, the tower is no longer safe to use. It now requires a thorough reconstruction.

For nature observation and pleasant leisure time near Rannajõe, a picnic area can be used at the end of the boardwalk.
