For visitors

The Mukri Nature Reserve has good opportunities for active recreation in nature.

There is a 2.5-km nature trail, which:

  • has the only observation tower (14.5 m) in Rapla County;
  • is located next to Lake Eidapere, which has two swimming platforms;
  • has a shelter, campfire site, an outhouse and a larger car park on the eastern, i.e. Vändra/Võidula end of the trail; and
  • is part of the Oandu-Ikla hiking route (370 km).

There are three possible starting points on the Mukri nature trail:

          1. near Eidapere, which has parking spaces for up to five cars

          2. towards Võidula, which has parking spaces for up to 10 cars or two buses

          3. at the middle part of the trail, where a gravel road leads directly to the observation tower and the lake.

THE TRAIL IS NOT CIRCULAR!

From the nearby Lokuta Recreation Centre (8.5 km), catering can be ordered both on-site and to the shelter and campfire site at the bog. Accommodation for groups of 20 or more.

The Järvakandi Glass Museum is 11 km from the Mukri nature trail.
